History of the Chaplet



			History of the Chaplet In 1995, my mother and fiancè died 45 days apart. During the final years of their illnesses, the intensity of daily caregiving brought me to my knees. I had been away from the Church for 30 years, and had no resources to help me keep up my strength and spirit. I found myself before the Tabernacle begging for guidance. He gave me all the guidance and strength I needed. I returned to the Church and prayed every day that God would open His arms to my loved ones and take care of me when they were gone.
	After they died, during one of my many sleepless nights, I felt compelled to draw a little rosary, not of the familiar decades, but of groups of 3 and 7 beads. It felt perfectly natural and peaceful to do this. Immediately after that, three prayers came to mind and I jotted them down. I put the drawing on a shelf and left it there for an entire year! But all through that year, the Holy Spirit kept reminding me I had a job to do. I asked a friend who made rosaries to help and she made the first chaplet from the drawing. She asked me what it was called. During my next Holy Hour, I asked the Holy Spirit what its name was, and the Chaplet of Adoration was born. In September 2000, the chaplet was ecclesiastically approved by the Church for public use. Offered to you today is an invitation to enhance, revitalize or introduce the devotion to the Holy Eucharist through these sweet prayers. Our Lady is appearing all over the world begging us to pray, pray, pray to her Son. The Sacred Presence is here for us, the precious Food of our lives. This Chaplet will help you focus on that Presence at any moment of your day. God bless you and keep Adoration alive!
